Our Church
St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Church in America (ELCA). St. Peter's was formed in 1901 as the first English-speaking Lutheran Church in Norwalk. Since 1901, St. Peter's moved from different locations in Norwalk to accommodate it's growing congregation. Today's St. Peter Lutheran Church was built in 1975 and continues to grow. Since it's construction, the church has added a narthex along with an elevator and carport which was completed in 1999. The congregation consists of over 550+ members, with an average worship attendance of 226. We have three worship services every weekend. With one service on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and two services on Sunday mornings, at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday is broadcast live on the local radio station , 95.3 WLKR, and has been since 1962. As of August 2019, we have started live-streaming our 10:30 a.m. service on Facebook Live. |
