Knowing Christ Serving Others
Our Church
St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Church in America (ELCA). St. Peter was formed in 1901 as the first English-speaking Lutheran Church in Norwalk. Since 1901, St. Peter moved from different locations in Norwalk to accommodate it's growing congregation. The most current location of St. Peter Lutheran Church was built in 1975 and continues to grow. Since it's construction, the church has added a narthex along with an elevator and carport which was completed in 1999. The congregation consists of over 500+ members, with an average weekend worship attendance of 160. We have three worship services every weekend. Saturday evening service is held at 5:30pm, and Sunday services on at 8:00am and 10:30am. The 10:30am service on Sunday is broadcast live on the local radio station, 95.3 WLKR, and has been since 1962. As of August 2019, we have started live-streaming our 10:30 a.m. service on Facebook Live. |
