We believe that Jesus Christ came to reveal the fullness of God's love for us, and we continue to celebrate that love through praise, sacraments, service, and community.
Our church offers a wide range of ministry opportunities. Whether you'd like to learn more, pray more, or serve more, we have a ministry for you.
Making an offering to our financial resources is an integral part of what it means to be a Christian. We have a variety ways to make it easy for your to support our church. You can make an online offering by clicking the button below.

ONE CALL TEXT ALERTS
Our One Call Alert system has an option to send you a text message for notifications. First, you must have your cell phone listed as a contact number in our One Call list. If you do not, please call or email the church office with your cell phone to update our records. To initiate the text option, send a text with the word “ALERT” to 22300. Once you do this, you will receive text alerts. If you have any questions or need to add your cell phone, contact the church office.
RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS MONTH
"No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted." During the month of February, the Concerns Committee is inviting you to participate in performing acts of random kindness. Each week we will list several acts of kindness and the display in the gathering space has resources and ideas to inspire you. Today's ideas are for our family and friends: 1. Put notes of kindness and encouragement in your family's lunches. 2. Bring in treats for co-workers. 3. Make a care package for someone recovering from an illness, surgery, new baby or just because! 3. Send someone a hand-written note (not a text) to thank them, encourage them or just to brighten their day! 4. Send someone flowers-just because! 5. Leave notes of kindness around your house and workplace. Together, let's make this world a little brighter by spreading the light of kindness throughout our community.
Have you also prayerfully considered your financial support of St. Pete for 2019? When worship was cancelled a few weeks ago, did you “make up” that week’s offering? Just like any institution St. Pete’s expenses continue each week. Have you considered the Tithe.ly app or using your bank’s electronic banking to continue your support if you are unable to attend church? Your support is needed and appreciated so that St. Peter can continue to fulfill our mission of Knowing Christ Serving Others. Thanks for your support and consideration!
Ash Wednesday is March 6. There will be three opportunities for Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion: a brief service at 7 am; noon; and 7 pm. Pastor Ann encourages you to begin thinking about a Lenten discipline—perhaps something to do with reading Scripture.
LENT MIDWEEK WORSHIP
The theme for our midweek worship in Lent will be the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). Our service format will be “lunch church” and “snack church,” as it has been the past two years. The first midweek services will be March 13 at noon and 7 pm. We will worship in the fellowship hall, incorporating lunch at midday and snacks in the evening.
2019 YEAR OF SCRIPTURE
Northwestern Ohio Bishop Daniel Beaudoin has designated 2019 as the Year of Scripture. He is encouraging all members of our synod to join together in a Read Through the Bible in a Year initiative. Our memory verse is Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
